It aims to provide information about the fundamental concepts and methods of the discipline and to learn the language of description (terminology is very important!).

Semiconductor Diodes
- Main topics:- the p-n junction- characteristics and basic parameters of semiconductor diodes- the operating point of the diode- photodiode
Applications of semiconductor diodes
Main topics:
- Analysis of diode operation in a circuit with: a constant voltage source, an alternating waveform (small signal) or additional elements in circuit.

Field effect transistor. Oscilloscope applications

- the principle of operation of the oscilloscope,

Characteristics and parameters of a bipolar transistor
